Hey everyone! I recently tested this MRZ scanner online: https://ocrstudio.ai/mrz-scanner/ while helping a friend verify passports for a travel project. Some documents were slightly curved and had glare from overhead lights, and I expected issues. But surprisingly, it handled everything really well, even reading MRZ lines from awkward angles. I read that these tools can adapt to lighting and even low-quality images, which explains the result. Has anyone else tried it in tricky real-life conditions?

Hey, just came across this thread. I don’t work with MRZ scanning myself, but it’s interesting how advanced these tools have become. The fact that they can read data from different document formats and still stay accurate in poor conditions is pretty impressive. Seems like something that could save a lot of time in travel or verification workflows.
